You may be eligible for a Special Enrollment Period.

A Special Enrollment Period (SEP) is a time outside the regular Open Enrollment period when you can enroll in or make changes to your health insurance plan. SEPs are triggered by specific life events such as marriage, the birth of a child, job loss, or changes in income.

Missed Open Enrollment?

You Can Still Enroll or Change Plans During a Special Enrollment Period (SEP):

If you are no longer eligible for Medicaid

Starting April 2023, approximately 15 million US citizens will risk losing Medicaid coverage; if you are one of them, you will need help to obtain new coverage.

If you have experienced a life change event

You may still be able to enroll in or change your health coverage for 2024 outside the yearly Open Enrollment Period (November 1 – January 15)

Medicaid, CHIP, or based on estimated Household Income

People with certain estimated household income may be eligible to apply anytime to Medicaid, CHIP, or health insurance outside the yearly Open Enrollment Period.
